Designers Lia Walker and Kathryn Ensign have always been inspired by conceptualizing fabric as a sculpting material. They found that they shared similar design ideas, and decided to collaborate on a clothing label and Eskaton Studio was formed. In fall 2007 Eskaton Studio is releasing its first publicly available collection. The design studio is based in San Francisco where inspiration is drawn from the eclectic characteristics of their surroundings. Eskaton Studio values natural fibers such as silk, wool and cotton that complement the designs and classic silhouettes with an artistic touch. We also value fair labor practices and as such, all clothing is manufactured in San Francisco at a sewing house that pays their seamstresses a living wage. Eskaton Studio strives to make clothing that is stunning to behold, yet simple to wear and is made in small quantities to ensure the quality and exclusivity that its wearers seek.
